A festive New Year’s table doesn’t always need sparkle to make an impact. This year, we chose warmth, texture and natural tones to create a setting that feels inviting, elegant and easy to recreate at home.
A Natural Base
We started with the table itself. Instead of using a tablecloth, we chose to let the dark brown wooden table shine. Its rich tone creates a beautiful contrast and adds depth to the overall setting, forming the perfect base for a warm and earthy tablescape.
Soft Neutrals with Character
For the tableware, we selected ecru plates with brown toile de Jouy illustrations, paired with off-white fabric placemats and ivory-coloured cutlery — all from Zara Home. The mix of soft neutrals and subtle patterns adds character without overpowering the table, keeping the look refined and timeless.
Playing with Height and Atmosphere
To create height and a festive glow, we opted for long beige candles from Ester & Erik. Their clean lines and soft colour enhance the calm, elegant atmosphere while adding a sense of occasion to the table.
We finished the styling with flowers in deep burgundy and chocolate brown tones, bringing warmth and richness to the overall palette.
Finishing Touches
To tie everything together, we used our glassware in colours Mist and Glow and combined the Swirl bottles in the two different sizes — both medium and large. Mixing heights and shapes adds visual interest and makes the table feel layered and thoughtfully styled.
The result is a New Year table that feels warm, festive, and elegant yet approachable. A setting designed for slow dinners, meaningful conversations and welcoming the new year with intention.
Special thanks to Atelier Détail for the flowers and styling.
